Hi Everybody

This is very cool -- thanks Elise, for taking the plunge (I'm actually getting ready to launch my own blog and, like you, know next to nothing about it, so we can learn together!). Somehow I am appearing (at least on my screen) as Julie (I set this profile just now) and as Jules (which is, I think how I'm set up for a Google group). So...until I can figure out how to combine these, I'll lead a double life. I can make the group next time -- hope I'm able to read the book (unfortunately, papers come first, but the semester will just about be done by then. Looking forward to meeting everyone. Julie

Faculty Book Club Blog

Here it is! Our very own blog, created for Citadel faculty, those who are able to attend our gatherings, and especially for those who, due to other commitments, cannot attend. It is for a forum for discussing the story, author, style & technique, characters, topics, themes & meanings of the books we're reading. In February we read Rabbit Run by John Updike, in honor of the authors death in January. This was a lively discussion. In March we read Waiting by Ha Jin, http://www.amazon.com/Waiting-Novel-Ha-Jin/dp/0375706410/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1239828389&sr=8-2 A more thoughtful discussion about live in China during the cultural revolution 1966-76. April's book is The Good Terrorist by Doris Lessing, unless we hear differently from Jack. Your thoughts are welcome.
